Red Rag - The Tax Payers Alliance, which is one of the Tories biggest so called "independent" cheerleaders, but who describe themselves as a "conservative movement", has found a quaint way of funding in the guise of a charity.
First you set up a charity with a different name. You make it's aims "education of the public and in particular to promote for public benefit research into matters of public taxation". You then get millionaires and the such to donate to the said charity. The charity then gives the Tax Payers Alliance grants to the sum of £599,500 in the last two financial years. In fact last year the Taxpayers Alliance was the only organisation it gave any grants to.
The Tax Payers Alliance then get tax relief on their donations.....so who is now screwing the tax payer?
When will they be changing their name to the non-Tax Paying Alliance?
